Exports

UK television exports are a world-beating success story. The UK is the biggest global exporter of completed programmes after the far larger US industry, with a 10% worldwide market share that puts it significantly ahead of its nearest rivals.

Pact’s exports policy covers a range of issues aimed at helping UK companies compete effectively overseas. As part of Pact's efforts to ensure members have the best available data on markets around the world, Pact is commissioning a a second Rights of Passage report, a major piece of research analysing UK exports in key overseas markets that has support from UKTI.

Pact is also involved in protecting intellectual property from theft, recently joining industry anti-piracy body FACT.

Chris Bonney, managing director of Outright Distribution, is the distributor representative on Pact's council.  For further details on these issues, please contact Adam Minns
