A Practical Guide to Neurodivergence at Work

An introduction to what neurodivergence is, how difficulties can present in the workplace and what actions you can take to mitigate these whilst helping to maximise the potential of your neurodivergent employees.

This event is open to leaders of UK-based independent production companies and their employees and freelancers.

If you do not have an existing Pact website login, you will need to register for an account as part of the registration process. This is a quick and simple process and you do not have to work for a Pact member company in order to register.

Neurodivergence

  • What language to use.
  • A brief explanation of the science of neurodivergence and how it might present at work.
  • Difficulties you might see in the workplace through the lens of executive functioning.
  • Sensory differences and what to do to help.

  • What you need to think about when an employee discloses diagnosis.
  • What to include in neurodiversity (ND) policy.
  • Reasonable adjustments and workplace accommodations.
  • Accessible communication.
  • An introduction to TAP and the 5As.
  • Where and how to access specific support.
