The session will cover:
- Maximising rights at the outset of setting up a production, for later exploitation.
- What rights are available to you under a Terms of Trade commission vs a streamer.
- Considerations if a distributor is involved upfront with finance or an advance.
- Available protections if asked to assign rights.
- Finished programme sales, format licensing and option agreements - what to watch out for and what are the must haves.
- Availability of deals during business expansion, e.g. first look, slate development deals, package deals, upfront programme financing and more.
- Exploiting your rights beyond linear distribution, including an introduction to digital distribution through FAST/VOD, digital and social exploitation.
